Old Naples and Typical Dinner

Meeting point: 06:45 pm – Piazza della Vittoria (in front of the entrance of the Villa Comunale)

Wednesday, July 03th 2024, 07.00 pm

Accompanied walk in the Old Town of Naples, a treasure trove of majestic architecture: historical monuments, mysterious churches, underground catacombs and caves, and beautiful fountains. Some of these landmarks are thousand years old and still preserved in their original condition. Owing to this, UNESCO has declared the area a World Heritage site.

Walking the maze of narrow alleyways to discover Naples’s ancient culture is a lengthy process. Centuries upon centuries of history, layered in the heart of Naples, make it virtually impossible to see everything noteworthy within one day.

The walk starts in Via Santa Lucia, precisely Borgo Santa Lucia, a historic district and Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the symbolic places of Naples, located in the heart of the historic centre and ends with dinner in a typical restaurant.

The tour will end at 9.00 pm with the dinner at the Antonio & Antonio Restaurant (Via Partenope 26, Naples).

Price: € 82 (VAT included)

The visit includes:

  • An English speaking guide
  • A tour leader
  • Headphones
  • Dinner in typical restaurant

The visit will be held only with a minimum of 20 people.

The tour travels along the three decumani of the historic center of Naples, streets steeped in history and culture. The route addresses different aspects of the city, from its history to its culture, which comes down to us from past generations. From the Decumano Maggiore, or Via dei Tribunali, a place steeped in the symbols of Naples such as pizza and traditional Neapolitan classical music, you move on to the Decumano Superiore with its archaeological remains still visible. Finally, we arrive at the lower decumanus of the historic centre, Spaccanapoli.

The tour also includes a unique underground experience taking you through 2,400 years of history, from the ancient Greeks to modern times, unveiling the “womb” of Naples from an archaeological, historical, anthropological, and geological point of view.

One Day in Pompeii

Meeting point: 08:15 am – Piazza Garibaldi

Saturday, July 06th 2024, 08.30 am

Pompeii is an ancient Roman city in southern Italy that was destroyed by a volcano, Mount Vesuvius. Pompeii’s survival over nearly two millennia makes it one of the most important sites of historical, archaeological, and human significance in the world; it’s also Italy’s second most-visited attraction. The volcano is still active, so the people living in the modern town still live with the risk of another eruption.

Pompeii has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997 as a joint listing with nearby Herculaneum and the Villa Opolontis at Torre Annunziata.

The return is scheduled around 04:00 pm and the lunch will be held at “Le Gare Restaurant” in Pompeii.

Price: € 160 (VAT included)

The visit includes:

  • An English speaking guide
  • A tour leader
  • Lunch in a typical pizzeria

The visit will be held only with a minimum of 15 people.
